What Is Next Gen Finance?

Next Gen Finance TeamMarch 17, 20261 min read

Next Gen Finance was created by students, for students. We noticed that most financial media is written by adults for adults, and there really was not a space where young people could share their own takes on markets, business, and money. So we made one.

The idea is simple. If you are a teenager with something to say about finance or business, this is your platform. Write about a stock you have been following, a business idea you think has potential, or just something you learned that you think other people should know. We publish it, and other young people read it.

We are just teens writing about money and business in a way that actually makes sense to other teens.

That is who we are.

Why Leveraged Stocks Are More Dangerous Than They Appear

Leveraged exchange-traded funds promise amplified returns, but their structure introduces risks that many investors underestimate. Products like Direxion Daily S&P 500 Bull 3X Shares (SPXL) are designed to track multiples of daily market movements, not long-term performance. This leads to effects like volatility decay, where gains and losses compound unevenly, gradually eroding value even in sideways or mildly positive markets. Combined with daily rebalancing, higher costs, and the risk of margin calls, leveraged investing can result in significant losses, even when an investor is directionally correct.

Artemis II and the Return to Cislunar Space

The Artemis II mission marks humanity’s return beyond Earth’s orbit for the first time in over 50 years, signaling a major shift from exploration to long-term presence in cislunar space. Led by NASA and supported by private companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin, the Artemis program is building the foundation for a future lunar economy. With plans for a permanent Moon base, resource utilization, and expanded commercial activity, Artemis represents both a technological milestone and a significant economic opportunity.
